Marvin came across Yerba Mate in 1997. Intrigued by the amazing properties, he started to research about it and was hooked on learning more about its origins and the way natives drank it. Drinking Yerba Mate in Paraguay is more of a "cultural drink" the gourd is pass around to be enjoyed by all the friends in the group.

After being introduced to so many brands of Yerba Mate, Marvin went on a quest to find the best Yerba in the market... the best plantations, the best flavour, the best quality. He traveled to Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. And that is how, in 2006, Sello de Oro Yerba Mate was born. It is grown and packaged in Paraguay, South America and distributed all across Canada. Marvin has personally been involved in the development.
